IMPORTANT UPDATE: All mute punishments will temporary have jail as well. This is due to an issue with the mute command.
General Rules
1. Be a good person in-game or forums, anything bad in real world is also bad in-game & forums. Know what's right & wrong.
2. Be cautious, frauds, scammers, hackers might be around so avoid telling personal information.
3. Your account(s) & items are your responsibility, secure your account(s) by changing passwords every 2 weeks and use symbols and numbers, and combination of capital & big letters. Do not lend your items, if it get scammed, hacked, or whoever got it was blocked etc, you can't get them back.
4. Read the rest of the rules, to be sure that you won't break a rule.
5. Regarding Reporting a Player:
- Always provide screenshots, we cannot help you otherwise.
- Always provide enough details for us to easily work on the report.
- Always be true to what happened, if we investigated and found out that you lied, you will be punished.
- If you became arrogant in any way during your report or attempt to warn/stop a player that is breaking a rule, you will be warned/punished as well. We don't like arrogant players who thinks they're highly just because the other player broke a rules and they could report.
- If someone calls you noob, gay, weak or any words you find offensive you could tell them to stop nicely yourself or we will if you report.
6. Regarding Lost Items & Scams. Your account is your responsibility:
- Do not lend any equipment, you will not be reimbursed if the item goes missing.
- Do not share your account information with anyone, this includes staff.
- Do not attempt to steal, scam, or trick a player.
- Always be careful with all stuffs in your account, We will not return any dropped/deleted,sold,traded,vended items or deleted characters even if they're by accident.
- Please report any missing/lost item(pick it up if you see it on the floor), we'll look for the owner for you to prevent scammers who might pretend to be the owner. However, please keep the item until we find the owner. Do not trade/sell/transfer the item.
- If you refuse to return a lost/missing item to the rightful owner, you will be blocked. If you sold/traded the item, you are responsible for getting another same item or if the real owner accepted you can offer a different item(s) in exchange for the missing/lost item.
- Take screenshots when you trade/transfers in-game, just in case you do get scammed. If you provide us with evidence, we can ban the culprit.
7. Regarding Battlegrounds and PvP:
- Do not AFK inside Battlegrounds or use any other methods to leech badges, i.e: give and take. If you have to AFK, then leave the game and rejoin when you are no longer AFKing.
- Do not support the opposing team.
- Do not impede members of your own team.
- Do not use any cheat methods to obtain more badges.
8. Regarding MvPs/Kill Stealing:
- MvPs are Free For All(even the event MvPs), no matter what. Please use a private branch room for BBs if you don't want ppl to KS.
- You can use @noks to prevent being KSed when killing normal monsters.
- When you die, you lose the ownership of the monster you were killing.

Using other languages in Global Chat ( ONLY ENGLISH ALLOWED )
1st Offense : 15 minutes jail & mute

Using abusive words to a player ( Verbal Abuse )

Filthy/Offensive words in Character Name, Guild Name or Position, Store Name, Party Name (generally offensive to players)
1st Offense will result in minimum of 1 day Jail to banishment depending on severity and deletion/disbandment of such. 1day to Permanent jail if character name until renamed (We choose).
Disrespecting any staff of Rare-RO
1st Offense : Warning and/or temporary banishment(until forgiven)
Skill Spamming or abuse / Chat Spamming
1st Offense : Warning or 5 minute mute ( chat spamming ) 10 minute mute ( skill spamming )
2nd Offense : 1 hour jail & mute
3rd Offense : 2 hour jail & mute
Bypassing no dual client system(eg. using 2 computers or sandboxing)
1st Offense : Warning
2nd Offense : All accounts ban for 1day
3rd Offense : All accounts ban for 3days
Dueling at Mid of "Rare City" and Gaia.
1st Offense : Warning
2nd Offense : 15 minute jail & mute

Chatrooms in the middle of the streets. In "Rare Town" you can put a chatroom in the allowed spots and cells that don't say "you cannot make a chatroom" warning. There is a way to by pass this which is against the rules too.

1st Offense : 7 day to permanent ban depending on severity.
Exploiting bugs
1st Offense : Warning to Permanent ban depending on severity.
Blocking WoE castle portals / adding chats which generally get in the way
1st Offense : 5 minutes jail
2nd Offense : 30 minutes mute + jail
3rd Offense : 5 hour mutes + jail
No Guild Emblem in WoE Time
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban
WoE Verbal Allying 1 - Verbal alliance is against the rule. Focuses on Guild leader's involvement
1st Offense : Warning - temporary ban of all accounts of the involved guild leaders depending on severity & removal of all castles of all involved guilds & guild disband.
WoE Verbal Allying 2 - Like Allying 1 but this one is on focus to party inviter of a Guild who invites players that doesn't have a guild or is in another guild and the player who accepted the invitation. Even if there was no partying involved, if there was enough proof that a certain player(s) are in peace talk/ally mode with another guild; it will still be covered by this rule.
1st Offense : Warning - temporary ban(depending on severity) of all accounts of the involved players, and removal of castles, x2 of what they took during the alliance.
Spamming Trade / Invite Friend in WoE or PvP
1st Offense : 2 hour jail & mute
2nd Offense : 4 hour jail & mute
3rd Offense : 8 hour jail & mute
Resu-Killing & any other PvP Ladder cheating
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban depending on severity
AFKing in Battlegrounds
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban depending on severity
Using methods to leech badges ( i.e: give & take ) in Battlegrounds
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban depending on severity. Reset of badges/points & confiscation of some(or all) BG items.
Character/ Guild / Staff Impersonation
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban depending on severity + deletion of such .
Advertising adult sites
1st Offense : Warning to temporary ban depending on severity.
Advertising other RO servers
1st Offense : Warning to temporary/permanent ban depending on severity.
Advertising Hack Sites
1st Offense : Warning to temporary/permanent ban depending on severity.
Inter-server Trading
1st Offense : Temporary to permanent ban depending on severity.
Using a bot program
1st Offense : Temporary to permanent ban depending on severity.
Offering of 3rd party programs
1st Offense : Temporary to permanent ban depending on severity.
Using 3rd party programs or any other cheats ( eg. grf hacking )
1st Offense : Temporary to permanent ban depending on severity.

Further information:
All rules that doesn't have permanent banishment tag or last offense tag doesn't mean you won't be banned, if you continue violating rules we will impose a ban on you.
If a character is offline, it can't be mute. So instead we will jail or punish an online char on same account.
It is not allowed to mention GMs legits, purposely, in-game or on the forums. Doing so will result in a punishment.
Success to follow the rules will result on Rare-RO family stability and growth.
Please note, if you are going to intentionally cause drama over and over (IN-GAME OR FORUMS), a perma ban will be set in place.
Any rule, may be changed by Admins any time, with or without prior notice.

Forum rules
1. Do not insult, harass or call people names as you like.
Punishment: You'll be given a warning and if you constantly repeating the same thing you're account will be banned from the forums.
2. Do not use vulgar language like S***, B****,G*** etc.
Punishment: You'll be given a warning and if you constantly repeating the same thing you're account will be banned from the forums.
3. Do not post any adult materials, offensive pictures, hacking sites and such.
Punishment: You'll be permanently banned from the forums.
4. Please respect Admins, Staffs, Forum Moderators and other members of the forums.
Punishment: You'll be given a warning and if you constantly repeating the same thing you're account will be banned from the forums.
5. If you're reporting someone onto the forums please make sure you have enough evidence before reporting someone. If you don't have enough evidence, you're report will be disregarded. If you're reporting someone of insulting/harassing you remember to post a screen shot containing the chat logs that you're telling him to stop.
Punishment: If you're just abusing the report button to abuse the forums you will get your account banned. If we catch you constantly repeating the same thing you will be banned from the forums permanently.
6. Do not SPAM all over the forums to increase you're post count. It's ok to like reply back and have long chats with people but spamming as in just typing one letter words or just emoticons.
Punishment: You'll be given a warning and if you constantly repeating the same thing you're account will be banned from the forum, If we found out that you made a new account and spam in the forums again, you will be permanently banned from the forums.
7. Do not create threads advertising other Ragnarok Private Server sites and random stuff.
Punishment: You'll be permanently banned from the forums.
8. Try to keep all threads in English because the main language of the server is English. Go and posts in the international forums unless you can't find the right forum because the language you speak isn't there then you can post in the Main forums.[i]
Punishment: The thread will be move to the specific forum but you constantly makes new thread in different language in the Main forums, the thread will be deleted and you'll be given a warning and if you constantly repeating the same thing you're account will be banned from the forums or even in-game.
9. Do not use more than 1 Forum Account
Punishment: You'll be permanently banned from forums, and if you continue to create new accounts your in-game accounts will be blocked.
10. Do not use the status updates for suggestions/reports, make a topic for them. Use only english on status updates.
Punishment: You'll be blocked from using the status update.
